So much fun!

I bought these gorgeous Vera Wangs on sale for $20 marked down for $120! They are incredibly comfortable and fit perfectly :) the only problem being I'm a newbie to the whole when and where to wear high heels. Can I wear them with jeans? To the movies? Church? I have no idea..so I decided to ask the beautiful community that is Lookville. <3

“I just bought these Simply Vera peep-toes on sale! Do these make better as casual or semiformals?”

@BleachedNirvana: Formals. Not my thing but cute. Semiformals at a push, but anthing with gemstones and a heel has to be formal- ish, to prevent from looking like you've made too much of an effort.

@writersblock101: These would look so cute with a simple black dress, or red, and some silver jewelry. I think this would have to be a semiformal-formal outfit with these being the statement piece. Make sure to keep everything else simple and toned down so you don't distract from them as a statement piece.

@audreyo: I say not semi formal. Semi-formal is an opp to wear a fabulous dress, why sacrifice that option to showcase a shoe? Rather try a minimal approach to an outfit for a night out...say sexy jeans, or a plain well tailored skirt (no hose, please don't do that!) and a Michael Stars T... and REALLY let your shoe shine and be the centerpiece of the outfit? I learned this trick from Rachel Zoe on location at a major Hollywood event-- and got nothing but compliments on my shoes allllll night long.... and I thought nobody noticed your feet. WRONG :-)!

@Shima: def formal, with the stones it makes it dressy, u could a nice dress or even a pair of dark wash jeans with a a nice top

@RocketteFromTheCrypt: Darling, there's nothing casual about these shoes!

@youheardithere: Not for only semi formal, although they do have a place there. I see a sleevless silver top with black wid leg slacks or skinny jeans, or a silver and black dress, maybe even a black and white dress with a big chucky silver necklace and earrings. These shoes will be noticed with whatever you wear them with. Don't sit them in the closet and wait for a big event. Have fun in them. They are such fun looking shoes. If you have someone special try wrapping Saran Wrap around you and putting the shoes on for a special surprise, Bet he will love your shoes!

@monyc: Either way would look nice! And the color is very hot right now!

Now it's your turn bloggers, any ideas?

New Project

Fashion! Who doesn't love a good fashion blog with their coffee in the morning? I know, I do!
Well, I have been inspired to create my very own blog! I have created a few posts here and there on this blog and I have received incredible feedback, including invitations to exclusive sites such as Lookville :)
So I haven't gone into detail on the name yet, but I'm leaning towards Simply Moda. So far at least.
Also, if any of you have ANY suggestions on posts, titles, even the fashion its self please, please share. I would appreciate all feedback you may have ;)

I am incredibly excited for this blog.

I had a dream...

I was stranded in a Bolivian salt flat. I walked for miles, for days. I came to a tiny hotel completely made of salt. The hotel owner kept yelling "lamer la sal!" and I tried to explain to him that I didn't like salt. He just continued to yell at me to lick the wall of salt. Eventually his wife came in, followed by his children; all 12 of them. I continued to agrue with them "..maybe if it were sugar.." I said. I felt a tiny tug on my shirt and looked down to a tiny face "Por favor. Es todo lo que tenemos." I licked the wall and my face started to shrivel. Then I woke up in a panic..

I have no idea what this dream means..but I do know one thing, you can add Bolivia salt flats to my "Must Go" list.

Alphonse Mucha

So, I definitely just discovered this guy!! (thanks Google!) Anddddd apparently, Alphonse Mucha was brilliant at what he did! This amazing Czech artist was true to his passion and country. A true patriotic symbol who refused to "sell out." A man who stood for art and his country and proved there is no liberal or conservative artists, only artists. A man who believed patriotism for one's country didn't confine him, but freed him to travel the world!
Happy 150th birthday! You were amazing and I can't believe I NEVER knew about you! I want to go back in time and slap my art history teacher.

Luis Buñuel

“You have to begin to lose your memory, if only in bits and pieces, to realize that memory is what makes our lives. Life without memory is no life at all, just as an intelligence without the possibility of expression is not really an intelligence. Our memory is our coherence, our reason, our feeling, even our action. Without it, we are nothing.”

If you can name them both, I will love you forever :)

scratch my last post..

I GOT INTO COLLEGEEEEEEEEE!

ProActive;

In earlier posts I've made a list of To Do's to kind of give myself a kick into gear. Well, since then I've gotten pretty pro-active!
So let's review :)

1. Sign up for dance classes.
-Okay, so I haven't signed up quite yet, but I did go to an all women's fitness center and took a tour. It offers Zumba and even kickboxing! I have a one free week thing, so we shall see :)

2.Become Bilingual! :D
-I've already decided I will be continuing my spanish education in college, but until then I've gained a few resources :) I've recently picked up a copy of the Spanish for Dummies (sounds lame I know, but hey it's actually working!) It came with a CDrom to listen to dialogue. Not to mention, I've been practicing with my spanish speaking friends from South America who are definitely NOT afraid to tell me when I'm saying/pronouncing something wrong;) (Thanks you guys!) Also, a friend of my dad's is Mexican and he is giving me a few pointers and he's turned me on to Spanish television. (Do not get me started on Alejandro and Gabby from "Al diablo con los guapos" I'm still mad about that!) Along with Telenovelas comes the convenience of the Copa de Mundial!! I watch all the interviews in spanish. So I'm picking up a lot, I guess you could say.

3. College
-I called them this morning. All I need now is to call back Tuesday to see if I'm in or not :) Pray for me, pleeease.

4. Lose Weight!!!!!!!!!
-It's a working progress, but I'm still losing!

5. Travel
- I've been to Tennessee, Alabama, and Miss. since I made my To Do's, but hey! It's better than nothing. My sister and I have 100% decided to go to the WCUP 2014 in Brasil! It will be amazing, not to mention I have a friend there and friends just a bit further south in Argentinaaaa :)

6. Help.
-Okay, I haven't quite done anything to change the world yet, but I've been doing my research. Maybe, I will turn this into a blog later on...To Be Continued..

7. Broken Addictions!
-Polyvore
-Shopping
-Oreos
-Music Vids

but where the old habits are broken, new ones are made...

New Habits to Break:
-Soda
-Fingernail polish-oholic
-HULU
-Glamour
-Putting off cleaning my room, ick.
-Interviews,Tv shows, Magazines, Music in Spanish (when friends are over)

Hooray! Off to keep up the good work (:
